The 4 recreation centers are Mountain Shadows, Desert Vista, Sun Shadows, and The Pinnacle. Amenities include craft rooms, card rooms, social halls, a 312 seat theater, 8 bocce ball courts, 1 racquetball court, miniature golf course, a softball diamond, shuffleboard, 4 fitness centers, outdoor and indoor pools, a spa, 14 tennis courts, 2 paddle tennis courts, and walking tracks.
There are 3 golf courses designed by Billy Casper and Greg Nash available to Sun City Summerlin residents; Eagle Crest, Highlands Falls, and Palm Valley. An all-inclusive membership for all 3 golf courses and unlimited range balls is $3,900 per year. An Emerald membership gives access to all three golf courses for a reduced daily fee and is $900 per year. 50 pre-paid rounds for Eagle Crest is another package offered for $1,300 per year. For non-members and Nevada residents green fees for Highland Falls and Palm Valley range from $25 to $55 and for Eagle Crest range from $21 to $33. Each of these golf courses has its own restaurant, Tavern on the Falls, Vista Grille, and The Summit Snack Bar.
There are a total of 7,779 single family, garden villas, and patio homes ranging in price from the mid $150,000's to the mid $800,000's within Sun City Summerlin. Sun City Summerlin Community Association fees for the 2013 to 2014 fiscal year were $1,284. These fees fund the operation and maintenance of the Association to landscape and maintain the common areas, enhance and protect the assets of the community and to finance the programming and management of the amenities. Sun City Summerlin also maintains separate Asset Reserve Funds derived from annual homeowner fees, golf fees and the New Owner Reserve Assessment. The funds provide money for replacing and refurbishing the capital assets, which are owned by the Association. These funds were $1,249 during the 2013 to 2014 fiscal year.

For those who enjoy gambling the Red Rock Casino is a few miles away as well as shopping destinations such as, Meadows Mall and Boca Park. For outdoor enthusiasts, Red Rock Canyon Conservation Area is very close and Valley of Fire State Park, which is Nevada's first state park, is 50 miles north.
